Live More, Live Well

Live More in Greater Manchester has been a 'test and learn' initiative, supported by the Accelerating Reform Fund, to explore the potential and value of shared lives as a form of early support to help people and families living with dementia to stay active and connected to the people, places and things that matter to them. #SocialCareFuture convener Neil Crowther, who worked with Shared Lives Plus and GM colleagues on the initiative tells us more

Live More in Greater Manchester was a test and learn initiative, supported by the Accelerating Reform Fund, which has explored the feasibility and value of early Shared Lives support to help people and families living with dementia to stay active and connected to the places, people ands things that matter to them.  An independent evaluation has found that the support led to significant improvements in the wellbeing of participants, and in particular that of family carers, creating a social return of investment of £6 for every £1 spent.
