Highlights from Wokingham’s Social Care Future team

Hear the highlights from Wokingham’s Social Care Future team, building on their local Social Care Future Charter and growing their network of people who can make help the Social Care Future vision real...

On 3rd October, we held our second annual Big Gathering in the Wokingham borough. Everyone who is part of our Get Involved Network was invited to join in, including people who draw on social care, families and people who work in support services.

Over the summer we had held a series of our community conversations. At these sessions, we learnt a lot about what’s working well in the borough and what needs to improve. This feedback was used to shape the focus and content for the Big Gathering.

Over 100 people took part in the day, which was designed to be fun, informative and inclusive. There were short talks, activities and opportunities for people to make stronger connections and imagine a brighter future for social care in Wokingham.

This short video was part of the day’s introduction. It was used to showcase a few of the highlights and achievements from the past year, as we move closer to the social care future vision.
