Neil Woodhead works for Derby City for “Local Area Co-ordination”. Workers are recruited within local communities to operate in a non-bureaucratic way to connect people, gifts and solutions. During the time of Covid-19 Neil is finding that this way of working is becoming much more the “new normal” and that LAC approaches are advancing across the council and partners. He talks about what this looks like in practice and the need for it to continue post-emergency.
