When I Get Old: Meeting for Independent Social Workers

Tuesday 8 July, 5.30-7pm, online • If you are an independent social worker in England • With experience of social work input in later life • Who wants to co-create better experiences and options….. Please join us.

When I Get Old has brought people together and asked them: What kind of care or support would you want for yourself or people you love in the future?

People want respect, the opportunity to do what they want, the chance to contribute and to be in control.

This meeting will look at what people want in later life and discuss your experiences as social workers. We will explore how independent social work could help people who arrange their own care and support to have better experiences and outcomes.

  • Our aim is to co-create better options for people who pay for and manage their own care (self-funders).
